The department UWI succeeded again: The article "Decision-Making in Cloud Computing Environments - A Cost and Risk Based Approach" written by Benedikt Martens and Frank Teuteberg was accepted for publication by the scientific journal "Information Systems Frontiers", 2012. Impact factor of the journal: 1.596(2010). The article was rigorously examined (first by Editors-in-Chief, second by the Executive Editor, then by at least three assessors, in two rounds, and finally decision by Editors-in-Chief based on the reports). Depending on the journal ranking, the journal will be classified as A-Journal (e.g. ACPHIS) or as B-Journal (e.g. WKWI-list). The paper "Development and Simulation of a Balanced Scorecard for Sustainable Supply Chain Management - A System Dynamics Approach" by David Wittstruck and Frank Teuteberg has been nominated for the Outstanding Paper Award at the 10th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik in Zurich. The Outstanding Paper Award will be granted for the conference's overall best evaluated paper out of approx. 400 paper submissions (acceptance rate: less than 30 %).

The Research Group in Accounting and Information Systems has developed a website that offers companies a quick market survey of available Cloud Computing Services and their providers. All services and providers are searchable by criteria such as certifications or service category. Also, they can pass on their experiences with individual services and get a chance to evaluate the overall quality of a specific service.
